Hector Youth Connection – middle school (6th – 8th grade) and high school students (9th – 12th grade) are welcome to join our combined youth group that meets two Sunday’s a month from 5:30 pm – 7 pm.
After some ice-breakers, youth enjoy supper together, explore their faith through activities and reflection, and have fun with games and even energizers! There are opportunities for service locally, and special gatherings like our annual lock-in, Christmas party, and Souper Bowl of Caring.
The year culminates in our summer mission trip. Some of the places our youth have traveled to include Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New York City, New Orleans, and Joplin (Missouri). They have repaired homes, served the homeless, and experienced firsthand the places on the margins of society where God is at work through urban ministry.
